278 was the last issue I think.
These are the issues that are yet to surface that I'm aware of: 233-238, 242-245, 248-267, 270-276, 278

I think #277 is the last. It has 278 issues because there were two issue #93s. There were also two issue #128s and #142s but they skipped the next issues of those two to fix up the numbering.

Ahh yes that makes sense, I forgot about the double issues.. and there is no mention in #277 that it is or could be the last, which only adds to the confusion lol

Ah, but then they wouldn't be able to run that one last grab-for-cash subscription offer page (and yes, there was one in the final issue. OF COURSE there was.) Gotta feel for they guy who decided to start a subscription that month.
Dear CVG subscriber:
We regret to inform you that we can't send you a single issue of the mag you just subscribed to because it has alas been canceled. But good news! We'll be happy to transfer the remaining 12 issues of your subscription to one of our other fine publications! Please select from one of the following:

Golf Monthly
Practical Boat Owner
Woman's Weekly
Your pals, Future PLC

A bit of a rare occurrence on my local auction site came up recently with four issues of PC Powerplay that are currently M.I.A in our collection turning up for sale. Some of our donation funds were used to acquire these and as a result issue 223 has now been scanned and added to the download area.

Don't be alarmed, but I unfortunately misplaced the card that came stuck to the cover, so I couldn't scan it (no need to ask your newsagent.) I'm sure it's around here someplace, so if it ever turns up, I'll post a scan of it for anyone who cares. To be honest, it's a pretty crap "extra." It was just a business-card looking piece of cardboard with a picture of the Enterprise on one side and pretty much jack all nothing on the back, as I recall (maybe a place to write your name, like how your mom does on your underwear.) What purpose it was supposed to serve, I don't know. Getting lost was probably the most exciting thing it could have ever done with itself.

Well I have a stack of them here from JTG ready to scan in the next couple of months so should nearly have a complete collection by the end of it.
RISC User issues 61 and 72 are now available. These are the last issues I have of these after I lost the remaining missing 50 or so issues along with approximately 100 Look & Learn comics I had scanned as raw scans in a NAS RAID volume crash recently.
Lesson learned the hard way = NEVER trust RAID as a backup solution. :'(

Dang I think I have that issue, had no idea it was elusive to digital scanners otherwise would have donated it.
They might be available elsewhere but in less than good quality as issue 277 is from another site. The difference between that 3rd party scan and Gregorick's is huge!!
Gregorick scanned PlayStation Power issues 31 and 33.

DanielPrimed scanned an alternate cover for NMS (AUS) issue 82. This magazine had four covers produced for the print version of which we now have two. The issue has now been converted to .cbz format and the covered added to the rear of the issue.
Also incoming from DanielPrimed is NMS (AUS) #86. This issue was missing the cover but he located a copy of the cover that kitsunebi uploaded at Retromags and added to his mag. Voila!!

JabbaTheGamer informed me on an issue with TipStation #15. Page 19 had been duplicated in the magazine. Feel free to redownload it or extract the pages using a zip utility and delete the duplicate page yourselves.

I've got a mate who was featured in one of these PlayStation Max issues. It was his face as a kid pasted onto the body of Cloud Strife, ha! He must have been about 7 at the time. None of the issues scanned are the issue I'm looking for but I'm sure it'll inevitably pop up one day. Thanks for the scans, Gregorick, and kiwi for uploading them!
I have a load more issues of Playstation Max incoming over the next few weeks, most of them are missing the posters so like these uploads I will just add blank pages when they are not available.

Was it Playstation Max that Playstation Power became?
Quote from: Phenetic on Dec 29, 2024, 06:50 AMWas it Playstation Max that Playstation Power became?
No they ran concurrently. PlayStation Max was aimed towards children, more than the other PS-specific mags.
