CVG issue 26 is now available, thus, barring a straggler hiding out in the basement and a couple of supplementary game books, completing the scanning of my issues of this particular magazine.

Commodore User issue 09 is next off the scanner.

Speaking of scanning I've just sent off to Kiwi GamesMaster Presents Issue 8. Turned out rather nice. Only one more left to do! 😊

I am trialing an automated "New Release" setup on a couple of magazines. Any new files added will automatically populate  into the New Release forum category. This should cut down on my workload on the site all going well.

Caveat #1: While it's possible to click "receive emails and alerts" on individual topics, it isn't possible for an entire forum section.  So while someone can sign up to receive email alerts to the monthly new release topic and get notified every time there's a new release posted to it for an entire month, it isn't possible to subscribe to the entire "new releases" forum, so there will be no way to be notified of new releases if they're all given their own individual release topics.

Would it be possible to have the auto-generated release posts go to a single monthly release topic, as opposed to creating new individual release topics (thus acting in the same way as you currently deal with new release posts manually)?

Caveat #2: The teeny tiny thumbnail cover on the auto-generated release posts is...too teeny tiny.

Yeah, I saw that with the two Total Games releases. There's no facility to specify an individual forum post to add them to automatically .. only a forum category unfortunately. So I have disabled the feature and am going back to the old way.

I might bring it up as a feature upgrade to the devs though. You never know right? And I still haven't brought up that category ordering bug either.  :P
