First release for April is Amstrad Computer User issue 08. The cover was particularly beat up but I've done what I can to make it presentable.

The February 1985 issue of Bits & Bytes magazine is now available.

As I am scanning a few issues of Amstrad Computer User and Bits & Bytes at the present time I decided to convert all the existing files to .CBZ format and the links have now all been updated. Additionally, I have added images of the Contents index pages for each magazine.

The September 1988 issue of Bits & Bytes has been added to the site.

Amstrad Action issue 32 is next off the scanner. I can't believe I have scanned over 25,000 pages on the ix1600 already. :o

The March 1991 issue of Bits & Bytes is now available.

Now all GameMaster Presents have been scanned and submitted to Kiwi I will now focus on something completely unrelated to video games but something that might be worth while: last year's Christmas Radio Times magazine.  ;D

RUN issue 04 has received a new scan and is now available.

Dreamcast Magazine (JPN) issue 83 has been scanned and added to the relevant section.

Micro User issue 34 is now available. This had some of THE WORST excess application of gluing I've ever come across.

Amiga Computing issue 18 is now available.

Amstrad Computer User issue 22 is now available.

Antic issue 68 is now available.

Game Console issue 29 is now available. That might be the last issue I have of this lying around.

Dreamcast Magazine (JPN) issue 79 has been scanned and is now available. That brings the total scans of this title here to 71 issues. Making good progress on these nowadays.

Dreamcast Magazine (JPN) issue 114 is now available. This was the last issue to be produced of this title.

Sega doomed their later consoles to rather ignominious ends when you look at the Saturn and Dreamcast. Unlike Nintendo they never seemed to produce unique enough hardware to capture the imagination of the general public so their appeal was limited to those of us who wanted perfect ports of their arcade games.

Arcade ports were never on my mind with Sega. That is...an interesting take.  :o

I have bought five Dreamcasts over the years because the arcade ports of Crazy Taxi and Powerstone were fabulous. House of the Dead 2 ranks right up there when paired with the consoles light gun and I saw nothing on the PS2 that came close to the visual fidelity of the Dreamcast. The VGA adapter capability of the Dreamcast at the time was amazing.

The subsequent PS2 conversion of Crazy Taxi after Sega went software only was an abomination with missing music and awful visuals.

Nintendo proved you can make a console work with eclectic hardware if you have the games to support it.

People flocked to the PS2 simply because Sony went with a DVD drive , making it by far the cheapest option to play movies at the time when the prices of standalone DVD players were ridiculously high. I went with the PS2 because of that very reason but if Sega had provided DVD playback support on the Dreamcast I would've stayed with that console. I can't begin to describe how disappointed I was with the PS2.

Of course all of us who were supportive of Sega were heartbroken with the decision to end hardware support. People are just willing to forgive Nintendo their mishaps but not Sega's. That said the PS2 was a polygonal monster at the time even though its output was blurry and mostly unclean to look at.

Computer Gaming World issue 224 is now available. Man they made later issues of these nowhere near as well as the early issues with poor paper and poor skewing.
Note: The cover and a couple of pages of the first two ads are 3rd party scans as my cover was missing them.

Found the 1995 issue of PC Format Gold in my basement so thought I'd fire up the A3 scanner and get it out of my hair!!
