Good stuff. This is a nice mag by the makers of Hyper. I am kicking myself because years ago I had almost the entire set of them but sold them when I moved house.

Thanks! I remember owning those magazines for the longest time. Never thought I'd see them again.
DanielPrimed has provided a few more of the Nintendo Gamer (AUS) mags but there will be no updates for a week as I am holidaying in the South Island from tomorrow as my wife and I need a break from getting the father-in-law's house ready for sale.
As soon as I get back from holiday I will get them and everything else received uploaded to the site.
Enjoy your time away, Kiwi 8)
Have a great vacation, Kiwi 8)

I just sent through my final set of scans to Kiwi. Once everything is up, OGM will have a complete set of Nintendo Gamer and also Nintendo Magazine System (AUS). I also sent through an issue (the only issue?) of Gameboy Mania, which came out before Nintendo Gamer and is related to Hyper. Incidentally, NMS were promoting a Gameboy magazine of the same name at around the same time, but I don't think it came out in the end.

This is absolutely incredible, thank you so much! I love these old Nintendo Mags as this was my favorite era of Gaming when I was a Teen. Much appreciated!
DanielPrimed brings us Nintendo Gamer (AUS) issues 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 and an upgraded version of issue 13. More to come!! Awesome!!

The award for thickest paper in a magazine goes to later-day issues of LOGiN, where every page is twice as thick as the covers on other mags.

Thanks for the new mag scans, and welcome back Kiwi! Might be time to make a new thread for October though...

There is at least a second issue of Gameboy Mania (I have it). I suspect it became GBA World, also from Next? I know GBA World had at least issues #4 to #8... do you have any info on that?
^I don't have any more info, I'm afraid.
It seems that GBA World is a continuation of Nintendo Gamer (as the timeline matches up; there are ads from GBAW in the final issue of Nintendo Gamer; and Stephen Farley, editor of Nintendo Gamer, did contribute to GBAW). GBA World #6's staff profiles say that there had been a change of editor and several staff changes over the previous issues, so it seems that there was a changing of the guard. All of the writers are from the Next Media stable, though.
The GB Mania issue I have is GBC-focused and has N64 Gamer-style art.

BTW I just remembered there is a volume 2 of Nintendo Gamer, at least 4 issues. Did you also include those?

We already have all four issues of the second set in the same category location. I couldn't be bothered making a seperate category page for such a small set.

SFX issue 8. (https://www.oldgamemags.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=13728)
Video game mags have all but disappeared, but this mag is still going nearly 400 issues later. Of course, there are a couple of games reviewed in this ish, so maybe we can just pretend there's one more gaming mag still standing.

Ahaa, I was hoping for some early SFX to turn up! Must be my lucky day, thank you for the scan.

Famitsu #0167 (https://www.oldgamemags.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=13730)
I'm told that a different scan of this Famitsu was previously available. I can't promise that this one is any better - I have no idea, to be honest, having never seen the other one. The only difference that I CAN promise you is that this one was bought, scanned, and edited entirely by me, without any profits from Patreon being necessary for me to bring it to you. If you already downloaded the other version and are happy with it, no worries. As always, a 600DPI version can be found at my Internet Archive page, though the copy here should be more than adequate for anyone not specifically needing a 600DPI copy for some special purpose.
