With the completion of 99% of our files now added to the seedbox and the commencement of adding new files here the old website (www.oldgamemags.net) is no longer being updated.
It is being kept in place to assist in assigning credit for files to their respective scanning members. Once that is complete is will be taken offline thus ending our use of PHPFusion, something which while it seemed great at the time, simply had too many niggles for me to want to continue using it.
What's incoming or on the horizon for the new site?
AralDite has been scanning up a storm and has uploaded nearly 400 files to the OGM NAS of late so as I do some minor edits on them expect to see these added in the coming weeks, well, it could take months there's so many of them. I am just getting some downtime from adding everything to the site over the last few weeks and then I'll be back onto scanning the rest of GunyenTony 's donated Dreamcast Magazine (JPN) issues and I think I have one remaining issue of Computer Games: Strategy Plus to process as well. And Jason still has a few Game Informer (AUS) issues incoming. And what awesome stuff might kitsunebi bring to the table? ;D
Stay tuned and over time all will be revealed!!
Great stuff Kiwi 8)
Sounds like quite the backlog!
Indeed it is mate!! I'm steeling myself for the workload with a rum and coke!! :D

There's also scanned stuff I uploaded, new to this website and magazine fixes of Nipledly's stuff.
Also is it okay to upload magazines to your dropbox that are missing from this website? A few were converted to PDF by me (sorry Kitsunebi) but I'm happy to help fill in those blanks from what I have that you haven't ported over Amiga and Famitsu related.
Moved the new releases topics to their own dedicated category so they don't disappear every time someone posts in general discussion category.

Indeed. kitsunebi has lent me sterling support in prettying up the download portal with thumbnails, more thumbnails and even more thumbnails. Thumbnails everywhere!! ;D
Seriously though, I've had my hands full adding everything to the seedbox and getting the downloads themselves back online. When he suggested a couple of things I gave him the keys to the download cabinet and he's jumped in and the results are looking very nice indeed.
Thumbnails for issues and magazine categories are finished...I think? If anyone notices any still missing, don't be afraid to speak up! We've also bumped up the size of the covers on individual download pages for the benefit of people who don't like having to squint at the teeny tiny thumbnails to determine if they want to download the issue or not.

Maybe I've missed it but I've noticed the Extended Play newsletters from Official Xbox Magazine aren't on yet.
On my to-do list Done!!
I think kitsunebi was referring to the thumbnails specifically, not file content, as I am in charge of that dept.

Thanks Kiwi. :) With your consent I will start uploading to your inbox any files I see missing that I do have like some Famitsu and Amiga Format.
Don't bother with my missing Famitsu issues. Kiwi has them and will add them when he has time.
Okay no probs. The ones I found missing were:
- Famitsu 210_December_25th_1992
- Famitsu 1347 (October 9, 2014)
- Famitsu 1353 (November 20, 2014)
- Famitsu 1358 (December 25, 2014)
- Famitsu 1359_1360 (January 1_8_15, 2015)
- Famitsu 1365 (February 12, 2015)
- Famitsu 1367 (February 26, 2015)
- Famitsu 1373 (April 9, 2015)
Yep, all but issue 210 are my scans, which he has. And I've got the CBR of 210 if Kiwi needs it, which would save him having to convert your copy back to its original format.
All are now online including #210 which I had but somehow missed adding to the site.
Okay I sent off via your MediaFire files you might not have that I have found so far missing. They downloaded pretty quickly so you probably have them already.

Great to hear, thanks! Glad only one is missing so far. Still need to go through more categories.
It would pay to ask if you see something missing. Part of the site migration was rationalizing our file base. I have been mulling whether to allow 3rd party scans for some time for example.
Gamest scans originally came from the now defunct Underground-Gamer website ... damn, I miss that site ... so it seems like making files from there available is okay given we aren't treading on their toes so to speak, where as making files from sites like Retromags available is even though Phillyman has no qualms about their files appearing anywhere even Internet Archive.
It was always an issue previously when it came to storage space with our files getting on towards 3TB in size but the seedbox has double that so space constraints are no longer an issue for the foreseeable future. I am just working through those sorts of decisions at the present time along with trying to get all our new files added to the site.

One major thing I've been noticing so far is there being loads of Computer and Video Games (CVG) missing. If you've lost those I can provide them however is it right to say these are part of the third party files you're talking about?
As for taking new scans I'm currently in the middle of scanning another GamesMaster Presents so will get back to that. I sent you all the others I've done.
CVG files were submitted by gladiator a while ago.
They really need editing to remove the spines which were duplicated across both facing pages which means extracting the pages, editing, then recompiling them into CBR format. I simply haven't had time to do that, what with all the new submissions in the last year or so.
It's on my long todo list along with scanning all of my early issues of this title.

Still going through so please bear with me. One thing I've come across is not being able to download Hyper Issue 191 onwards. An error message pops up saying 'no file'.
Not sure what part of this comment in the description field for those issues that you do not understand?
"Description: This magazine has been archived and is NOT available for download at this time."
I did not receive any email about the migration or new site login details, but luckily i noticed the topic on the old site and the new site let me reset my password anyway.
Hey Kiwi,
Site is looking good! Definitely an improvement on the old one, downloads are much easier, and I prefer these forums.
Just noticed a couple of little niggles (not game breakers by any means) - just wondered if you wanted them posted here or if you wanted a dedicated thread, or somewhere else entirely.
Keep up the good work!
Dan
Feel free to make a separate thread for issues. kitsunebi has mentioned one or two in an email so it will be interesting to see if yours are the same. :)

Still going through the website when I have the time. Do you need any of these or do you already have them to be uploaded:
- Australian PlayStation (1997-08) 04 (Next)
- EDGE.FILE.Volume.1
- Edge-Equip-PC
- Edge-Special Edition-01-1996-Essential-Hardware
- GamePro-Presents-Handheld-Video-Games-Winter-1999
I have them all I believe. Australian PlayStation (1997-08) 04 (Next) is already up under Australian Station

Great! I took your advice and wanted to make sure I didn't flood your inbox with stuff you didn't need. Have a Happy New Year Kiwi! :)
