Holy heck!! Jason also gives us PC Powerplay #006 :o

Next up from Jason is Sega Megazone #43. This was the first issue under the new name, previous issues simply being called Megazone. Given this information I have combined the content into the Megazone magazine category.

This is great! Now all we need is Issue 232, and we'll have a complete set of Hyper's run. I did hear that Jason did get a copy of that issue to scan in an earlier post. So keep up the good work! 8)
Next out of the blocks are two early issues of Australian PC User from Jason...

Put in the January thread by mistake.
I don't know how Hubz managed to acquire these but four early issues of Cashbox International are now available thanks to him. Wow!! :o

At long last, the full run of Hyper from beginning to end, is available at last. Thanks Jason! Thanks Kiwi! Wonderhoy!
And now we wait patiently to see what happens when people have no more dreams.
Said a neighbor: "Yeah, once that final issue of Hyper hit, it was like he had nothing left to live for. Just stopped socializing, leaving his home...even stopped eating - just...withered away. Who knows how long it would have taken to discover the body if the postman hadn't reported the smell. A man without any hopes and dreams isn't really a man, doncha know. And it's all that JASON'S fault." ;D

Don't worry, there's still the absent issues of Hyper Cheats and Playguides, and the other poster issues we can continue searching for. I wonder how many issues exist of both? ;D

Mega thanks Jason! My collection is finally complete. Respect!
Interestingly, I am scanning some circa 2016 PC & Tech Authority issues at the moment (same publisher as Hyper) , and I've seen advertisements for 2 more Hyper Specials. A VR Special, and an E-Sports special.
Can anyone recall these? There may still be more to find out there.....

266 was called the

268 was the

Thank you so much Jason! Ever since I threw out my PC Powerplay mags (always regretted it), I've been trying to recover them with digital copies. This fills a significant gap. I don't suppose you have issue #3 waiting to be scanned? That issue, along with #66 to #71 & #77 would complete the first 100.

I have this #3 issue in pretty good quality. I sent it to Kiwi and if it's good he'll post it, I think.
Unfortunately, I don't have the #66 to #71 & #77 issues either. (The newer ones are most likely in some quality with or without watermark.)
Three issues of Australian PC User are available thanks once again to Jason...

Well, it sucks that this is a leap year, meaning that this mag drops on the 29th and will be forgotten as everyone moves onto the March thread in a matter of hours, but this mag was perhaps the most time-consuming mag I've ever worked on. And I didn't even scan it.
Game Player's Guide to MS-DOS Computer Games Vol.1 No.2 (https://www.oldgamemags.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=11847) was scanned by marktrade years ago, but...no offense to the guy, it was pretty fugly (1988 + cheap paper = very very BROWN.) The editing I had to do on this was unlike anything I've ever done before. There was no "action set" I could use to apply changes with a single button press - every page required editing individually, and the screenshots had to be edited separately from the text portions (it may look like it, but this isn't just a case of cranking up the white levels - in fact, I never even touched the levels editor). The changes are pretty huge, so if you're offended by attempts to make mags look less than a thousand years old, you can still find the original at the Internet Archive.
Here's a couple of comparisons:
Why go to the trouble? This is a rare and somewhat historically significant mag. Despite being Vol.1 No.2, this is actually the very first
Game Player's mag to cover PC games. When Signal Research began publishing its line of
Game Player's mags, their original plan was to have different mags rotating monthly under the same "
Game Player's" umbrella. So Vol.1 No.1 was actually a Nintendo mag, then came this issue, then Vol.1 No.3 (again, a Nintendo guide), and then Vol.1 No.4 (back to PC games). Then, with Vol.2, they decided to split these mags into separate publications, but continue numbering both series with Vol.2. So the Nintendo mag became
Game Player's Strategy Guide to Nintendo Games, and the PC mag became
Game Player's PC Strategy Guide. But both series share the same Vol.1. So this issue is technically Vol.1 No.2 of both
Game Player's Strategy Guide to Nintendo Games AND
Game Player's PC Strategy Guide.
ANYway, this is the first issue of what (with the next issue) would be called
Game Player's MS-DOS Strategy Guide, and later
Game Player's PC Strategy Guide, and later still,
Game Players PC Entertainment. AND THEN, it would become
PC Gamer (USA). So technically, this issue is the birth of
PC Gamer (USA.) Not that it shows it yet. It would be a couple of issues yet before they hired the writing staff and created the format and columns that would evolve and eventually carry over into
PC Gamer. But as a huge fan of early
PC Gamer USA, this issue deserves its place in my collection, primitive as it is, and I wanted it to look nice, so...
here it is. (https://www.oldgamemags.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=11847)

@kitsunebi - that's some serious amazing editing there mate!! :o
I can hazard a guess and say that probably consumed several hours of your valuable time. Hats off to you though. That looks fantastic!!
