Quote from: gobbins on Nov 14, 2025, 05:19 AMI'm pretty certain the 2010 movie was thematically based on the 2010 video game, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

Actually, now that I see that the movie's title is exactly the same as the game's (PoP: The Sands of Time), I suppose that makes sense. ;D

I didn't pay it any attention when it came out - I have a pretty strict no-videogame-movies rule when it comes to my watching habits (I've never even watched the Wing Commander movie out of morbid curiosity, despite WC being one of my all-time favorite game series.)

Thank you for the strategy guide, kitsunebi!

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - Official Strategy Guide  I guess there was some backlash about the darker aesthetic of this game compared to Sands of Time.  I wonder which game the movie took inspiration from (if either?)

Quote from: HUNZso on Nov 09, 2025, 09:29 PMWow. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a really good game. Thank you and respect for all your work.

Thanks.  Alas, it falls under the "owned it but never got around to playing it" category for me.  Not unusual - the majority of games I bought as an adult (18+) fell into that category as having a job but no free time meant buying more than I could ever hope to play.  And then I stopped playing games altogether nearly 20 years ago.

Keep your eyes peeled for the guide to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (another game I've not played), which I should have out sometime later this week.
It was sadly, also one of those games that tragically undersold. A shame really, as it was one of the better remakes that was well-received across the board by most publications.

Thank you for the uploads. Much appreciated.

General Discussion / Game Developer Magazine May 20...
Last post by rubiksdude - Nov 07, 2025, 10:44 PM
Hey! New here, site has been absolutely wonderful so far. Thank you to Kiwi for hosting.

That aside, I have a personal collection I'm trying to fulfill and am wondering if anyone has these magazines for sale?

The first is Game Developer Magazine May 2006 (#124) - I.A. link
The second is Play (US) February 2002 (#2) - O.G.M. link

Nobody seems to have them for sale anywhere, been looking for a while. I'm located in the US but I'm willing to pay import fees if anyone has them. Thanks all.
