No I did not although to clarify I meant the name PLAY. I'm sure the mag has made the PLAY title longer than 2021.

General Discussion / All About Space ..... Gone!!!
Last post by Kiwi - Oct 06, 2024, 04:51 PM
Damn .... magazine closures seem to be escalating of late with All About Space added to the 'gone burger' pile.

Not sure how staff morale is at Future but surely it cannot be good with people wondering who is next on the chopping block. Yikes!!!  :o

Even independent publishers are feeling it with Fusion giving the chop to Amtix! CPC recently although you can sort of understand that one when you are trying to make a living off a computer series that died in the early 1990's. To be honest I'm not sure how their Zzap!64 and Zzap! Amiga mags also haven't also gone the way of the Dodo. Retro Gamer has become the default magazine for retro gaming and covers that niche market well. Still, I'm putting money on Future killing that title before Edge magazine.

Pretty much hard work ... too much for my liking, although I must admit I like seeing kitsunebi's wonderful results from all that effort. Very pretty indeed.

Umm .... are you referring to mags you have in your collection? Or was it just a generic comment? kitsunebi got Jason to scan his magazines.

Basically, you need an A3 scanner to scan them properly. Enuff said!!

Yep, an A3 scanner is necessary.  I don't have one, hence Jason to the rescue.  And if your mags have aged the same as mine did, you're gonna need Photoshop and some elbow grease as well if you want to make them pretty like mine ;D :

Quote from: kitsunebi on Oct 02, 2024, 09:42 PMThe Star Trek mags are those awkward British sizes that don't fit on an A4 scanner, so I tag-teamed with Jason to get them done.  He did the scanning, I did the editing, and now you do the reading.
Great mag, a shame Titan ruined it in the end. Anybody have recommendations on how to scan these?
