Quote from: slider1983 on May 06, 2025, 01:16 PMThat's interesting, I sent a scan to E-Day to get approved but he sent it to Phillyman who hasn't got back to me so obviously Phillyman won't respond. I think E-Day shouldn't wait for approval unless he really must get approval from Phillyman beforehand.

E-Day doesn't need anyone's permission to approve a scan, but as a rule he doesn't handle ANY administrative duties.  None.  Never has, never will.  If Phillyman ever decides to close the site, it's possible that SOMEONE may step in and offer to take it over, but it won't be E-Day.  He simply has no desire to deal with admin stuff and has stated so in the past.  So there's no point in sending him things to approve.

Phillyman might respond to you at some point, but it's pretty unlikely.  He doesn't make much time for the site anymore.  It could be that his personal life has been so completely crazy for the past several years that he simply hasn't had a moment to spare.  Or he could have just lost the passion for magazine scans.  Either way, don't get your hopes up.

I remember Retro Gamer doing an issue where they showed off the Konix. I believe it was the chair they showed off. Seemed interesting and the ability to remove and detach controllers was nice.

The 90s probably had the most amount of unconventional peripherals for both consoles and IBM-compatibles (and even the other home computers had their share of wacky devices). Nowadays we have fewer choices and even industry-backed peripherals like the PSVR struggle to make even.

Thanks Gregorick! Do you know if #66 was the final issue?

Gregorick

Not sure but I don't think I have ever seen one past 66

I've scanned PSM #1, which is now available HERE.

What attracted me to PSM back in the day was the fact that they got actual comics professionals to do their covers.  That's Art Adams on cover duty.  He somehow avoided being lumped into the "hot artist" craze of the early 90s, even though he was better than most of them.  Perhaps because he'd already been around for several years at that point so wasn't considered "new" enough, or perhaps simply because he never did put out a lot of full monthly books.  Regardless, whenever he DOES draw something, it's a treat.

Here's his rendering of The Baroness, because I like G.I.JOE, and because the Baroness is a smoking hot bad-girl guns/glasses/leather fetish rolled into one.  ;D

The artists were definitely the best part of PSM. Thanks kitsunebi for the upload. Art Adams was fantastic, those X-men Annuals he did were killer.

I have to say. I always enjoyed the gaming artwork for the PSM covers too. Thank you for the upload.
