Thanks for the new mag scans, and welcome back Kiwi! Might be time to make a new thread for October though...

Once everything is up, OGM will have a complete set of Nintendo Gamer and also Nintendo Magazine System (AUS). I also sent through an issue (the only issue?) of Gameboy Mania, which came out before Nintendo Gamer and is related to Hyper. Incidentally, NMS were promoting a Gameboy magazine of the same name at around the same time, but I don't think it came out in the end.

Thanks!

There is at least a second issue of Gameboy Mania (I have it). I suspect it became GBA World, also from Next? I know GBA World had at least issues #4 to #8... do you have any info on that?

DanielPrimed

^I don't have any more info, I'm afraid.

It seems that GBA World is a continuation of Nintendo Gamer (as the timeline matches up; there are ads from GBAW in the final issue of Nintendo Gamer; and Stephen Farley, editor of Nintendo Gamer, did contribute to GBAW). GBA World #6's staff profiles say that there had been a change of editor and several staff changes over the previous issues, so it seems that there was a changing of the guard. All of the writers are from the Next Media stable, though.

The GB Mania issue I have is GBC-focused and has N64 Gamer-style art.

BTW I just remembered there is a volume 2 of Nintendo Gamer, at least 4 issues. Did you also include those?

We already have all four issues of the second set in the same category location. I couldn't be bothered making a seperate category page for such a small set.

SFX issue 8.

Video game mags have all but disappeared, but this mag is still going nearly 400 issues later.  Of course, there are a couple of games reviewed in this ish, so maybe we can just pretend there's one more gaming mag still standing.

LeftHandedMatt

Ahaa, I was hoping for some early SFX to turn up! Must be my lucky day, thank you for the scan.
