wolfenstein 3d/fate of atlantis pre-release coverage?

hi everyone,

was there any kind of pre-release coverage of wolfenstein 3d in the magazines? it seems like id software got more exposed only after shareware success of this game? plus it being such a short development period... perhaps none exists?

i guess in case of indiana jones and fate of atlantis there´s some/more? i think i´ve only read an interview with hal barwood in the adventurer...

could you please recommend to me any concrete magazines or issues?

Did some digging for you.

The first mentions of Wolfenstein 3D I can see were in PC Format and Generation 4 (French magazine) in July 1992, both featuring it on the coverdisk that month. So nothing at all pre-release, at least in my index.

you´re right, there´s probably none... not even in cgw, i think... french nation got some really great magazines... abandonware magazines is a great source, but unfortunately they dont have consoles max issues 05 (11/1999) & 25 (09/2001)... same goes for retrocdn... do you think that these scans exist anywhere online?
