How does one do a "digital rip"?

I know have access to PC gamer digital issues as part of my subscription so I want to 'extract' them. What is the best way to do this?

Further to the above comment, if you have a subscription via:

1. Apple's iPad magazine by Future - Essentially you are now out of luck unless you have an iPhone or iPad with IOS 6 or less on it and have had your subscription since the early days of the app as you can use your iDevice to use the previous version along with some 3rd party software to copy the encrypted PDF pages of an issue onto your PC. From there you can use python scripts if you know their encryption key to convert the pages into unencrypted versions and reassemble into a full issue. Newer IOS versions from 9.0 onward eliminated the ability to "see" the encrypted pages as security got tightened up. Even a jailbroken device on a newer IOS version can't access the pages from my testing last time I tried.

2. Subscription via Zinio - A waste of time as the pages are encrypted jpg files and if you try and screen grab pages from within their app they are littered with text boxes on the bottom of the page where the Zinio app provides a link to a simple text page. Ugh!! Very annoying.

3. Subscription via Readly - This is the method I use for archiving the latest mags. Readly, like Zinio, uses images of pages which allows screen grabs or alternatively, if you have access to the utility called Readlyfetcher, allows you to download an issue as individual pages, or as a compiled PDF. The main issue with the utility is that it requires your account registration key which is difficult to locate in the browser using the "Code" feature.

Hopefully, that gives you information to go on. I can't really assist further without knowing your subscription method.

I'm not familiar with pocketmags so I created an account.

It seems similar to Readly where mags are processed in a browser session or via a dedicated app notwithstanding that it doesn't load up a Gamer Interactive mag in my Chrome session on my Mac when I tried a free title so not sure what's happening there. I tried another freebie and that displayed okay.

Looking at it you can export two pages at a time from a mag as a PDF. Rename the file and do two more pages until you have all of the mag. Pages have a code embedded on the bottom of the pages which likely relates to your account so they can identify you if you spread the files around. Adobe Acrobat Pro opens the file but cannot delete the code so I'd say the only way you'll get a clean copy is by screen grabbing every page from an app as images if you have an iPad etc which is annoyingly long winded.
