Upload/download speeds on the seedbox are slow for me today. Not sure if it's affecting anyone else. Russia blowing up more undersea cables lately?  :P

Kiwi

I haven't noticed... But this download seems to be incorrect. It downloads Play-Gamer-17.cbz instead of number #20.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I am now running down through my last remaining magazines (approx 100 issues or so barring any other discoveries in the attic). I probably won't be buying any more for a while as me and the family are in the process of emigrating. I know a few folks have asked about magazine donations; if you have already sent them, then they will be scanned. If you want to send something then I only have space for a few more mags and I will probably be quite picky about what I accept now.

These were my last two issues of X-360, last week was my last issues of Play Gamer and PSM2.

Having read some of those PlayGamer magazines (which I believed ceased publication after 28 issues) Does anyone else think that console gaming magazines that debut in the middle of a console generation are at a disadvantage readership & sales wise compared to long-running magazines that began their lifespan at the very beginning of a console generation and have already garnered a solid subscription base? Just a thought.

Having said that, PlayGamer was an excellent read & is a publication I have never heard of until now so cheers for the uploads

I'm always a bit amazed at the sheer number of gaming publications the UK used to publish.  Sometimes you'd have three or four different mags, all specific to a single console, ALL FROM THE SAME PUBLISHER(!) being published at the same time.  And then there'd be 3 or 4 other publishers doing the same thing.  There were so many different mags being churned out, it's a wonder any of them survived.  I can definitely see why someone would just prefer sticking with an established mag rather than try to figure out which of the "throw 'em at the wall and see what sticks" publications that were constantly appearing were worth buying.
